Team Babbitt’s/Monster Energy/Kawasaki Finish 1-2 in Greensboro

January 27, 2018 | Greensboro Coliseum | Greensboro, N.C.

Foothill Ranch, Calif. (January 28, 2018) – Team Babbitt’s/Monster Energy/Kawasaki continued its flawless run through the first four rounds of the 2018 AMA Arenacross Championship as Gavin Faith and Jacob Hayes exchanged main events wins in the 250AX Class. The overall win went to Faith after his Head-2-Head victory broke the tie between the two Kawasaki teammates.

The first 250AX Main Event began with the Greensboro native, Hayes, capturing the holeshot with teammate Faith in tow. Hayes led the majority of the race until he encountered lapped traffic on Lap 10 and was unable to jump the triple. Faith would capitalize the mistake, allowing him to take over the lead and go on to win Main Event 1.

The second 250AX Main Event saw Hayes take his second holeshot of the night and lead all 15 laps to capture the main event win on his KX™250F. Faith finished a close second place.

“It was another great night,” said Faith. “I won my qualifier, the Head-2-Head Challenge and went 1-2 in the mains. The whole team is off to a great start and I’m looking forward my home race next weekend.”

“I had a lot of fun racing tonight,” said Hayes. “It was unfortunate I couldn’t get both wins, but I’m happy to get a win and remain in the title fight.”
