GPF/Babbitt’s/MMCR/Monster AX Team Race Report Las Vegas, NV
May 4, 2018 | Orleans Arena | Las Vegas, Nev.
The 2018 Amsoil Arenacross series wrapped up Friday night in Las Vegas. The GPF team came in to Vegas with a shot at winning the East and West Lites titles.
Ryan Breece came into Vegas just a few points shy of having the title wrapped up, but he left no doubt who the fastest rider in the class was setting fastest qualifying time and winning his heat race. In the main event Breece would pull the holeshot, gapping the field on lap one and never looked back taking a comfortable victory. His 5th won in 6 races claiming his 2nd Lites West championship in as many years.
Isaac Teasdale also came into Vegas with a shot at a title down just 4 points to Heath Harrison in the Lites East. Isaac rose well all night leading most of his heat race before getting passed by his teammate, Ryan Breece, on the last lap. In the main event Teasdale would start in the top 5 but his subframe broke on lap 2 causing his exhaust to fall off. Down on horsepower he would charge up to 2nd and eventually finish 3rd ahead of his Lites East rival, Heath Harrison. In the end the gap wasn’t enough and Isaac would come up 3 points short of Lites East title.
Was a great season for the GPF/Babbitt’s/MMCR/Monster Energy team. Thanks to everyone for contributing to the team in 2018 and making it possible to go racing every week.
