Crawfordsville, In. - The 12th and final round of the Grand National Cross Country took
place over the weekend at the famous Ironman Raceway in central Indiana in near-
perfect conditions, where team veteran Josh Strang claimed a long-overdue win.
Teammates Grant Baylor and Lyndon Snodgrass would finish fourth and ninth,
respectively.

At the start of the six-lap race, Strang was able to get off to a good start and set himself
up well for the remainder of the race, while Baylor and Snodgrass were forced to work
their way through the field over the course of the event. After coming through scoring on
lap one in the third-place position, Strang didn’t look back and only improved his
positioning as the race went on before making the pass for the lead on lap five.
“I wanted this win a long time ago, but to get it at the last round is good. It was a tight
race with about eight of us all within 15 seconds of each other all day, so I really had to
remember the passing lines and just focus on riding as well as I could.”

At the conclusion of the 2023 GNCC series, Babbitt’s Online/Monster Energy/Kawasaki
Team Green placed two riders in the top ten in points in the premier XC-1 Pro class,
with Grant Baylor taking home fifth and Josh Strang taking seventh. After missing the
first half of the year, Lyndon Snodgrass would finish 12th in points.
